FROM: Jeff Lazenby, Director of Finance SUBJECT: FY 2027–2031 Capital Improvement Program – Instructions for Completing the CIP DATE: September 10, 2025 Introduction It is time to begin preparing our Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for fiscal years 2027–2031. We will use the developed Excel workbook for all project submissions. Please note: CIP proposals are due to Finance by Friday, September 26 . Blank copies of the template are saved on O:\CIP 2027–31\CIP Forms. Form Consistency • The form used to initiate CIP (Capital Improvement Plan) entries will remain the same as before. • All required fields, structure, and input expectations are unchanged. • This ensures continuity in the way project details are captured. Workbook Structure Change Previous Approach: • Each project required the creation of a separate workbook. • This resulted in multiple files that had to be managed individually. New Approach: • Instead of multiple workbooks, all projects will now live within a single workbook. • For each new project, create a copy of the standard tab (template) within that workbook. • This reduces file clutter, keeps everything centralized, and makes it easier to track across projects.
