Project Description

The existing box culvert running along Miller Street and Draper Road , which outlets behind the former Police Station, is aging and in poor condition. A significant portion of the stream downstream from the culvert is no longer properly contained within the designated stormwater system. Replacement of this deteriorating infrastructure is necessary to prevent potential failure. Recent findings from the Library Stormwater Investigation have identified specific areas in need of repair. This project aims to replace the existing box culvert beneath both Miller Street and Clay Street. Additionally, the 48-inch stormwater pipe system beneath the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library will be assessed to ensure it has adequate capacity. Although its structural condition currently appears to be serviceable, further evaluation will confirm its long-term viability.
