Project Description

The stormwater pipe system running along Ardmore Drive requires a capacity upgrade. During a significant runoff event in the fall of 2023, stormwater volumes exceeded the system’s capacity, resulting in basement flooding and substantial damage to a nearby residential property. Upgrading this system will mitigate future flood risk to the affected structure. Due to spatial constraints and conflicts with existing utilities in this established neighborhood, the new stormwater infrastructure will require a non standard pipe size. This adds both complexity and cost to the project. A formal design is currently in progress; this funding request is specifically for the construction phase of the stormwater improvements.
