Sidewalk Trip Hazard Removal

Project Description

This project provides funding for sidewalk trip hazard removal for "severe" and "most severe" classes of hazards by grinding down sidewalk or replacing brick sidewalk tripping hazards via acceptable VDOT methods, where settlement exceeds 1/2 inch to 2 1/2 inches. Trip hazard removal projects bring sidewalks into compliance with the Town's ADA Transition Planning at a lower cost than full replacement. This project is eligible for a VDOT Revenue Sharing Program match.
