PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT (continued)
Replace curb ramps in various locations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan. Initiate Municipal Building exterior waterproofing project. Complete construction of park restrooms at Nellies Cave and Southpoint parks. Attain National Tree City USA status for the thirty-sixth (36th) year and expand the products grown in the tree nursery by town staff for use in town park properties. Install historically appropriate plantings at the St. Luke Odd Fellows Hall to allow further programming and educational exhibits on the site. Continue revitalizing the landscaping at some of the Town’s historic properties, downtown areas, and focus on redesigning entryways on North and South Main and Price’s Fork. Increase large-scale annual wildflower garden opportunities in various sites around town to continue encouraging native pollinators and to continue our Monarch City Designation.
