There’s an old saying: “If you ever see a turtle on a fence post, you know one thing for sure—it didn’t get there by itself.” Whatever success we’ve had as leaders came from being lifted by others—leaders, mentors, and colleagues who guided and challenged us, friends and family who supported us, and, most of all, the teams we worked with.
