Tours of the island are available by bus, jeep and horseback. You can also rent a jeep, mountain bike or ATV and explore at your own pace. There are picturesque vistas, natural bridges, historical places and museums. Since the island is only 19 miles long and 5 miles wide, it is easy to explore without getting lost. When asked about “little-known places,” David Cohen chuckles. “We used to enjoy a secret pool, but it’s been discovered.” His insider tips: Visit the glass factory—they give demonstrations and have a restaurant and bar.
