FUND SPOTLIGHT The Blacksburg High School NHS Legacy Scholarship Fund In 2015, students and faculty sponsors from the Blacksburg High School chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) approached the CFNRV about establishing a scholarship fund. NHS members engage in both community outreach and fundraising activities annually, and they devote a portion of the dollars raised to the scholarship fund. The fund supports a graduating Blacksburg High School senior with a strong academic record, a record of leadership and service to the school and/or community, and a strong desire to continue that level of service during college. Over the last decade, the fund has awarded more than $12,000 to students attending colleges here in Virginia and across the country.
