It Ends Like the Trumpet & the Maiden James Stitt C’mon…Let’s be honest, “Hide and Seek” was never fun. Beautiful sweet babies crawling into the darkest of nooks. Silent. Trembling. Listening. Breathing.

Flames of anxiety flickering behind Shining, slitted, and squinted eyes. Such sweet joyous games! “Ghost in the Graveyard”, “Sardines”, all eventually “kick the can”. Replaced by deodorant, razors, and Sharp handled Body Spray.

None capable of masking the pungent Stench of hormone induced confusion, And agonizingly angsty insecurity. Now everyone is both hiding and seeking. Unsuccessfully emerging, peaking - emotionally Stunted and begging to just-move-on.

Dumped into the cubicles, Discarded into the factories, Feed to the plants - Mostly minimum wage warriors.

Hiding from their boss. Hiding from their bills. Hiding from their peers. Only seeking their bottles, paychecks, and Pills.

When from behind those constructed camouflaged crutches pops the smiling Trumpet fish bound to find all of man – scarlet stained sickle ready in hand. Go Fish...
