Appeals - A student may only appeal a sanction of deferred suspension or separation from the College. Appeals shall be only to the President. The student must submit a written request for an appeal within five (5) business days of notification of results of the original hearing. The Office of Student Development may administer the notification of hearing results either personally or by certified mail to the last known address as maintained by the College. A student may request an appeal on one or more of the following grounds: (1) the student has been deprived of his/her rights as defined herein; (2) new evidence discovered; and/or (3) the sanction(s) to be imposed was not justified by the nature of the offense. The original decisions may be sustained, modified, or reversed.
