We especially wish to express our heartfelt thanks to those who contributed to make Bluefield University what it has become today. We are grateful for the visionaries who partnered with Virginia Baptists to create this “Lighthouse on the Hill” and to those who have sustained it for 100 years. In this moment we are standing upon their investment in the future. Let us join with them as we create a firm foundation for a future generation to stand in another 100 years. Dear friends and fellow alumni, What a beginning to our Centennial year! Becoming Bluefield University sets the stage for a second century of service that is bold and exciting. As you know and have read, we formed a new consortium of schools that will feature preferred pathways and scholars’ programs. We are creating degree programs that meet marketplace demands in the health sciences. We are constructing new facilities, and we are investing in academic support for our students. Go Further: The Centennial Campaign for Bluefield University is how will we will accomplish these worthwhile goals. We invite you to join us by giving to this historic $18 million comprehensive campaign, of which $16.3 million has been raised. If you have never given to Bluefield University, this is the year to begin. All gifts made this year will count towards this monumental effort. Together, we can ensure that Bluefield University remains “a Christ-center learning community developing servant leaders to transform the world.” There are many ways to become part of this exciting campaign too, including:
