Class Notes

2002 Seth Ryan White, of Richlands, Virginia, was announced the Northwestern Supervisor of The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors. He formerly represented the same district from 2008 – 2015. He is currently the Branch manager for Movement Mortgage in Richlands. 2006 Michelle Fitzgerald Wooten of Concord, Virginia, completed her Master of Education degree in May 2020 at the University of Lynchburg. 2007 Brittany Pachuta Doss of Beckley, West Virginia, accepted a position as the State Collaboration Director for Head Start – Raleigh County Community Action Association, which will allow her to continue her work with head starts across the state, and work closely with pre-kindergarten and child care. 2008 Ms. Jessica Lee Brokaw , of Lexington, Ohio, was appointed as the new athletic director at Clear Fork High School in Bellville, Ohio. She was previously the head coach for the women's basketball at Lexington. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2008. She also served Bluefield College as the Divisional Manager for Athletics for three years. 2011 Laron E. Culmer, of Nassau, Bahamas, is expanding his restaurant, C Food Shack, by opening its first location in Miami Beach, Florida. 2012 Erin Corr Miller of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is the new Vice President of People and Culture at Lulu Press, Incorporated as of August 2020.

2014 Adam Timothy Garland , of Brunswick, Maine, was elected as the new town manager in Oxford, Maine on March 22, 2021. Adam’s career in public service started as a police officer in Augusta 2003 and then Richmond for eight years. In 2014 he became the Town Administrator in West Bath until 2018, when he transitioned to serve as Richmond’s Town Manager for two and a half years. 2019 Sven Kleinhans , of Ottenhoefen, Germany, was selected as the student commencement speaker at the University of Wisconsin representing 10,000 graduating students across all undergraduate and graduate departments as well as J.D. and Ph.D. programs.
