Terrence Alonzo Hall , of Charleston, West Virginia, has received a promotion to Assistant Branch Manager of 683B Princeton, West Virginia

Holly Ann Carroll , of Princeton, West Virginia, was appointed as the new Business Manager at The Virginia Tech Center for Economic and Community Engagement. She previously served as a business operations specialist with the vice president for Outreach and International Affairs. Rodney Kasey , of Moneta, Virginia, was hired as Assistant Athletic Director for Digital Strategy and Brand Management at Marshall University. He previously served as Assistant Director for Athletics for Student Development and Creative Media at Bluefield University. Aaron James Mingo , of Hull, Iowa, was hired as the new head football coach at Taylor University. He previously served as the offensive coordinator, offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at Bluefield University. Emma Louise Donohoe , of Ireland, was hired as the new assistant coach for the women’s soccer team at the University of Minnesota Morris. She got her undergraduate education at Bluefield University, where she graduated with a degree in Sports Management in the year 2018. She continued to grow her career at Bluefield where she helped set up a kid’s camp in which the funds raised went to a professor to help with their medical expenses. Lillian Katherine Gray , of Roanoke Virginia, graduated from Leslie University and passed her Board Certification as a Neurological Music Therapist. Kenzie Marhsall , of Hillsville, Virginia, was hired as the Assistant Diabetic Rehabilitation Trainer at the Carrol Wellness Center. She is also working as a CNA, Certified Nurse Aid, at a local facility along with working as an Assistant Track and Field Coach at Carroll County High School. She graduated from Bluefield University in 2019 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Sports and Exercise Science with a concentration of Sports Medicine. Kayla McCroskey , of Bluefield, Virginia, has joined the Clinch Valley health’s team and is providing orthopedic care at Clinch Valley Physicians Associates. She will also be providing orthopedic care at Clinch Valley Family and Specialty Care of Bluefield. She has also been nursing for around 6 years. Kayla received her undergraduate degree at Bluefield State University and her Masters of Science in Nursing was finished at Bluefield University. 2019 2018 Alexis Brielle Austin , of Harker Heights, Texas, was hired as the Assistant Director of Sports Medicine at Lehigh University.

Marisa Marie Clifton , of Huntersville, North Carolina, was hired as the new science teacher at Northside Christian Academy. She will be teaching Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry, and Psychology.

Maddie Thompson , of Bluefield, Virginia, was hired as the new Environmental Science Teacher at Graham High School.

FRIENDS

John H. Lilly , of Beaver, West Virginia, was named Athletic Director at Independence High School. John coached football at Bluefield College in 2017-2018 and later returned to Independence in 2019. Bobby Ukrop , of Richmond, Virginia, is going to receive the lifetime achievement honor at the upcoming RVA Sports Awards. After Bobby graduated from Richmond in 1969 with a finance degree, he went to work in the Ukrop’s Super Market business for a year before time with the Air National Guard. Bobby then attended UVA’s Darden School of Business, graduating with his master’s degree in 1972. Bobby’s impact will be recognized at the inaugural RVA Sports Awards on February 5th, hosted by the Richmond Region Tourism Foundation. It was announced that he will be the first winner of the event’s Community Champion Award, which will be honoring the years of dedication and support he has put towards regional athletics.

Cameron Louis Hynes and his partner Tiffany of Glen Allen, Virginia, welcomed their newborn son, Parker, on June 25, 2022. Cameron serves as a sales executive at SpotOn, a payment processing solution for small businesses.

Jeda Patricia Swaine , of Vinton, Virginia, is thankful to be working as a Technical Account Manager at PowerSchool.

Bryce and Caitlin Allen Laxton , of Virginia Beach, Virginia, welcomed their newborn daughter, Harper, on June 27, 2022.

Megan Colleen Brandl , of Bluefield, West Virginia, started a new position at WVVA News as a Promotions Assistant, in April 2021. She has recently received a promotion and started January 2022 as the Social Media Digital Content Manager.

Andrew C. Bailey and his wife, Emma, of Bluefield, WV, welcomed their daughter, Stella Elaine, to the world on July 6, 2022.
