FRIDAY AFTERNOON WORKSHOPS

RRR - Ruritan Rapid Relief 4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. Calumet

Literacy Workshop with Tammi 4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. Grand Ballroom Meet Hank the Horse®, the 1,400-pound beloved messenger of gentle love and kindness. Hank isn’t just any horse — he’s an Equine Ambassador of Inspiration who’s showing the world what happens when love takes the lead. Once a horse in need of a second chance, Hank now helps feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, and bring the joy of reading to children everywhere through For Hank’s Sake and the Pages For A Purpose® Literacy Excellence programs. Through heartwarming stories, hands-on activities, and real-world impact, discover how Hank’s journey from the barn to the bell stand has become a movement of kindness, sharing, and giving. More than a mascot, Hank is a mentor — proving that unconditional love transforms lives and that each of us has the power to make a difference. This uplifting presentation highlights how equine-assisted learning and storytelling can teach the values of friendship, kindness, and generosity — inspiring every listener to rise up, lend a helping hand, and help others reach their fullest potential. Because if a horse can do it… so can we. Facilitator: Tammi Jo Regan When disaster strikes, communities need caring hands and strong hearts. This interactive workshop will inspire and equip Ruritan volunteers to take action when it matters most.
