National President’s Message Welcome to the 2026 Ruritan National Convention – “Galloping Toward Growth!” Fellow Ruritans and Friends,

Welcome to the 2026 Ruritan National Convention here in beautiful Lexington, Kentucky — horse country! I’m so glad you’re here. Whether this is your first convention or your fiftieth, your presence makes a difference.

Each person in this room represents a piece of what keeps Ruritan strong: fellowship, goodwill, and community service in action. This convention is more than a gathering — it’s a celebration of who we are and where we’re headed. Over the next few days, you’ll hear inspiring stories, meet dedicated leaders from across the country, and share ideas that will help shape Ruritan’s future. I encourage you to take it all in — attend the workshops, ask questions, make new friends, and enjoy the fun and fellowship that only a Ruritan family can offer. To our delegates, thank you for stepping forward to serve in this vital role. You are not here to represent a single viewpoint but to bring your own wisdom, experience, and understanding of what’s best for Ruritan as a whole. Each of you has a voice and a vote — use both thoughtfully and confidently. Your participation helps ensure that the decisions made this weekend reflect the shared vision and integrity of our organization. To our first-time attendees, a special welcome to you! You’re stepping into a proud tradition, and I hope this weekend leaves you inspired and excited to carry Ruritan’s mission back home to your communities. Don’t hesitate to introduce yourself, ask questions, and join in — this family welcomes you with open arms. As we gather under the banner of “Galloping Toward Growth,” let’s keep our eyes on the horizon — because our best days are still ahead. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected Ruritan, one community at a time. Thank you for the work you do every day to make a difference. Enjoy the convention, celebrate our shared purpose, and leave here ready to

take the next stride forward. With gratitude and excitement, Becky Ruritan National 2025 President Serving Our Communities

Convention Chair’s Message

Welcome to Lexington, Kentucky and the 2026 Ruritan National Convention! Get ready for an unforgettable experience filled with learning, laughter, and FELLOWSHIP! This is your chance to take in as much as you can — gather fresh ideas, explore new approaches, and discover ways to help your clubs and districts grow and

thrive. Spend time reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and sharing stories about what’s working in your communities. Let’s inspire one another as we head into 2026 with renewed energy to expand Ruritan into even more neighborhoods across America. Our convention program committee, National Office staff, and a host of dedicated volunteers have poured countless hours into creating a memorable and meaningful convention experience just for you. From our exciting Opening Program to Sunday’s uplifting worship service, you’ll find an outstanding lineup of Ruritan activities, innovative workshops, and — of course — our Derby Party featuring none other than Hank the Horse! We’ll celebrate the successes of 2025, conduct our Ruritan business, and look ahead to an even brighter 2026. Throughout it all, remember our theme: FELLOWSHIP! You’ll hear it often this week because it’s at the heart of everything we do. A special welcome goes out to our first-time convention attendees, who can be spotted by the green tags on their badges. Please make sure to introduce yourself and make them feel like part of the Ruritan family from the start. Let’s also take a moment to thank President Becky for her steady leadership and dedication through a challenging year, as well as our entire Board of Directors for their hard work and service. Over the years, Ruritan has been blessed with wonderful First Ladies, a First Daughter, and a First Gentleman — and this year, we were also delighted to have a beloved “First Dog,” Tucker. Tucker brought joy, laughter, and plenty of smiles to Becky and to many of us throughout the year. Sadly, Becky lost Tucker late last year, but his playful spirit and the happiness he shared will always be remembered. In honor of the love and light he brought into our Ruritan family, we dedicate this convention to Tucker’s memory and all our other furry friends that we lost, knowing their spirit of friendship and FELLOWSHIP will continue to inspire us all. So, jump in, get inspired, FELLOWSHIP, and make the most of every moment. Thank you for being part of this celebration — together, we’ll make the 2026 Ruritan National Convention one to remember! Rick and Juliann Poff, Convention Co-Chairs
