MINUTES OF THE 93rd RURITAN NATIONAL ANNUAL CONVENTION BUSINESS MEETING Friday January 24, 2025 Embassy Suites, Greenville, SC

START TIME: 4:02 pm PRESIDING: 2025 National President Robin Davenport Convention Co-Chair Jim Lafollette welcomed everyone to the Friday business session and introduced National Director Julie Marshall for the invocation. Convention Co-Chair Jonathan LaFollette introduced National President Robin Davenport who called the meeting to order at 4:04pm. President Robin recognized all those that supported Western North Carolina, thanked them, Credentials Committee Chair Sandra Lowe reported that as of Friday, January 24, 2025, there were: Pre-Registered 393 Walk-ins 22 Cancellations 10 Total Registered 405 Certified Delegates 393 and asked attendees to continue to keep them in your prayers. The first item of business was the Credentials Committee report. On behalf of the Credentials Committee, Sandra moved that the roll of delegates hereby submitted be the official roll of voting members of the convention. The Chair restated the motion and asked the delegates if there were any questions. Hearing none, A voice vote was taken, and the majority voted in favor. The chair declared the credentials report adopted. The Chair called on Convention Program Co-Chair, 2000 National President Jim Lafollette who presented a few corrections to the printed program. 1) On pages 14 and 17, it states the credentials report will be given by Sarah Kelly. It should read Sandra Lowe. 2) On page 18 it states Sarah Kelly will deliver the election results. It should read Sandra Lowe. 3) On page 48, add the Tellers Committee with members as follows: Sandra Lowe (chair), Craig Whitt (staff), and Anne Hedgspeth. 4) On pages 14 and 17, it states Phillip Bradshaw will present on behalf of the Ruritan National Foundation. It should read Guy Cox.
