She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin- Madison in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Visual Arts Education and a minor in Educational Psychology. A life-long advocate for education and the arts Dr. Hunter-Doniger taught 15 years as a visual arts teacher in the public schools in grades K-8. Kathryn Kerr Templeton is a senior South Carolina Teaching Fellow, attending the Honors College at College of Charleston, where she is earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. She co-founded a non-profit called K4Kids, which collects new and reusable school supplies and teaching resources to donate to students and teachers in need in South Carolina. Kathryn received the 2015 Richard W. Riley Award from the South Carolina Education Association. She plans on going to law school to study education policy. A member of Zeta Tau Alpha, she also volunteers with a variety of non-profit organizations. Katherine Tobin is a member of the class of 2020 at the College of Charleston. She is majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Studio Art and Spanish.
