Bluefield City Park is the host to adventurous days for friends and family. The park has plenty of green space, a playground area, picnic shelters, mountain bike trails, the Ridge Runner train, basketball and tennis courts, and shelter rentals. The park opens March 1 and closes October 19. BLUEFIELD CITY PARK

The Ridge Runner Fun Zone The Ridge Runner Fun Zone playground, named after the Ridge Runner train in the park, captures the theme of Bluefield’s railroad legacy. The team put together a research-based design that is ADA compliant, inclusive, multi-generational, sensory filled, and designed for users of all ages and abilities.

Ridge Runner Train The Ridge Runner train runs on Saturdays and Sundays from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, weather permitting, including on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Rides run from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and are $2 per person. All ages are welcome.
