An in-date CPR certification from the American Heart Association BLS (for Healthcare Provider) or The American Red Cross BLS (for Professional Rescuers) are the only two approved substitutions for HLT 105. BIO 141: NAS 2 Foundations of Life Sciences is a prerequisite. Students may be exempt from NAS 2 by meeting one of the following criteria: 1. Earned a “C” or higher in BIO 101 2. Established as a university student taking the course at NRCC for transfer 3.
