Students may choose from college approved Humanities/Fine Arts Requirements in the college catalog. Two required Humanities/Fine Arts Requirements cannot be from the same discipline area. Social Science Requirements include the following: ECO, GEO, PLS, PSY, or SOC. Virginia Tech may recommend ECO 201-ECO 202; students should consult the specific requirements of the specific program at the transfer institution. Students may choose from the following EGR Requirements: EGR 125 (4 cr.), EGR 206 (3 cr.), EGR 240 (3 cr.), EGR 245 (3 cr.), EGR 246 (3 cr.), EGR 270 (4 cr.), EGR 271 (4 cr.), EGR 272 (4 cr.), EGR 231 (3 cr.), and EGR 232 (3 cr.). Students may choose from the following Engineering Technical Requirements: EGR 125 (4 cr.), EGR 206 (3 cr.), EGR 240 (3 cr.), EGR 245 (3 cr.), EGR 246 (3 cr.), EGR 270 (4 cr.), EGR 271 (4 cr.), EGR 272 (4 cr.), EGR 231 (3 cr.), EGR 232 (3 cr.), ACC 211 (3 cr.); BIO 101 (4 cr.), CHM 112 (4 cr.), CHM 241 (3 cr.), CHM 242 (3 cr.), CHM 245 (2 cr.), CHM 246 (2 cr.), CSC 215 (3 cr.), ECO 201 (3 cr.), and ECO 202 (3 cr.). Students should consult the requirements of the specific program at the transfer institution. Only six semester hours of social/behavioral sciences are required for engineering majors who plan to transfer to a baccalaureate degree engineering program that requires 6 or fewer hours in the category, provided that the college/university publishes such requirements in its transfer guide. The articulation agreement with Virginia Tech supports admission to the College of Engineering for all students who graduate from this program with a 3.2 GPA or higher.
