Mountain View Humane 2023 Annual Report
INCOME & EXPENSES
America’s worst round of inflation in four decades has also significantly affected the veterinary world. The estimated 11% increase in medical supplies, including syringes, medications, vaccines, bandage material, etc., increased Mountain View Humane’s projected expenses in fiscal ’23. Since veterinary medicine is considered a cash business, it can be challenging for pet owners to pay for the exams, vaccines, and spay/neuter surgeries needed to keep their pets happy and healthy. Throughout this challenging time, MVH has continued to provide quality care to more patients by offering financial aid to 51% of our clients in addition to our already affordable prices. Because of the generous support of individual contributions, foundation grants, corporate gifts, and subsidies, we continue to serve the community as a vital resource for spay/neuter and animal wellness care.
