Renumbering the System Context Tree

We can renumber the entities to have a consistent indicator of the place in the composition tree 1. Select “System Context” 2. Right-click to access the context menu 3. Renumber and enter “C” We may want to quickly distinguish context entities (numbered “C.#”) and system entities in the component list. One convention is to renumber the root system entity “SYS”. 4. Select “Geospatial Library” 5. Right-click to access the context menu 6. Renumber and enter “SYS”

Setting the Type for External Systems

Remember that the external systems outside our system boundary are marked with type “External System” 1. Select “Certification Authority” 2. Shift- click “Collectors” and “Customers” resulting in all three nodes being selected 3. Right-click to access the context menu 4. Select the Set Attribute command 5. Select “Type” from the attribute drop down and “External System” from the value drop-down 6. Click OK
