Allocating Customer Functions

These functions have not yet been assigned to the “Customers” Component . 1. Select the “All Entities” tab in the diagram palette 2. Select Component in the classes list 3. Select “Customers” in the elements list 4. Drag- drop “Customers” on each of the four functions and select performs We will also take this opportunity to renumber to organize the element list 6. Click in the diagram background to clear all selections 7. Right-click, select Renumber from the context menu, and enter “C.1”

Mapping Items for Customer Behavior As we move across levels, we decompose Items as we decompose Functions . For valid decomposition, we must map the Items in the Customer decomposition with the context Items . 1. Select “Customer Request” and ctrl -drag- drop it on “requests” in the context diagram 2. Select decomposes (the child Item decomposes the parent Item ) 3. Repeat the process thinking through the mapping of each Item
