Inserting Our First Function
We will drag-drop constructs from the toolbox to visually construct our behavioral architecture. You could also do this using the key entities or the context menu. 1. Select the “Insert” tab in the toolbox 2. Drag “New Node” and drop it on the arrow (the main branch of the diagram) 3. Accept the default “Function_001” as the name of the new Function

Opening the Simulator on “_Perform System Context Functions” 1. Click the Simulator toolbar button to open the simulator 2. Click the title bar of the Simulator
window and drag the window until the cursor reaches the right edge of the screen 3. Release the mouse to position the simulator on the right half of the screen 4. Select the activity diagram to display on the left half of the screen Dragging a window to the edge of the screen docks the window to that half (left, right, top, bottom). Dragging a window to a corner docks to that corner. We are using a standard Windows feature to get side-by- side static and dynamic views of behavior.
