Dr. Caudle is an assistant professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies at the University of Tennessee. Her primary scholarship activities include establishing research-practice partnerships to better understand how collaborative learning contexts support and improve professional practices of early childhood teachers. She also investigates how teachers’ beliefs, attitudes, and attributes impact their learning and the educational opportunities they provide young children. She teaches a range of early childhood courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, with a particular focus on action research and integrated teaching methods. Dr. Caudle has worked in the field of early childhood teacher education for 15 years. She may be contacted at lcaudle@utk.edu .

Jennifer Barrett-Tatum is an assistant professor of Literacy Education in the School of Teaching and Learning at Western Carolina University. Dr. Barrett-Tatum teaches literacy development instructional methods, and assessment courses within the elementary and middle grades programs. Her research interests include literacy curriculum and policy, literacy instruction, and cultural historical theory.
