Joy For All Kids
Dear Joy Ranch Family, With God’s help and your support, over the next 24 to 30
Lyle Hartt Secretary Sandy West Treasurer Bryan Horton Steven Horton Richard Isom Tim Kinser Tom McChesney Angela Shupe Mission Statement
months, we intend to raise an additional $300,000 dollars (over and above general giving) in order to renovate and update our Joy Ranch facilities, as well as prep them for additional outreach to children and families. After 50 plus years of wear and tear from over 5,000 children, the facilities need a great deal of work and restoration. Necessary and vital repairs are important to sustain the cottages, buildings, and land in order to continue another 50 years of ministry to children and families. This packet is provided to inform you and others of the needed projects required to facilitate effective outreach to children needing residential ministry, as well as reaching other at-risk youth in our region through sports, mentoring, and camps. Coupled with a vision for reaching more children and families, who are vulnerable, broken, hurting, and lost, we are preparing for a harvest of souls that will connect with Joy Ranch ministries, and then find their way into our local church partnerships for long-term nurturing and discipleship. As you venture through the following pages, you will be asking yourselves, “As a partner and supporter of Joy Ranch, how can I get involved to make this vision and these projects a reality?” Opportunities to Make “Joy For All Kids” at a Reality 1. Become a Prayer Warrior and Intercessor for this project. 2. Volunteer time, resources, connections, and talent to help or assist with one or more of the projects. 3. Support with an additional gift monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or yearly. 4. Sponsor a Benefit Fundraiser at your Church, local community organization, business, school, or club (dinner, golf, corporate sponsorships). Invite area churches. 5. Host a “Dinner For 8” at your home using our 2 minute “Joy For All Kids” DVD presentation. 6. Distribute our “Hope For Kids” brochures to family & friends. 7. Host a “Joy For All Kids” Gathering in your community, church or business. The staff at Joy Ranch provides the presentation and invites friends of the Ranch in the area to attend.

8. Volunteer as a Joy Ambassador to assist the Joy Ranch Development Team to make important contacts with churches, organizations, foundations, etc. 9. Other…Other ideas that you might have to make this vision a reality sooner than later. I wish I had the entire amount needed for this project in my bank account right now. Unfortunately, I do not have it alone. You have given generously over the years to provide a beautiful, harmonious, nurturing, Christian home for children, without one due to homelessness or crisis. I would not ask for your additional support, connections, resources, and prayers if it were not absolutely necessary. We at Joy Ranch believe, as I am sure you as partners do, that these are God’s kids, and we should provide them a safe, nurturing, adequate, and beautiful place to live and grow. More and more children in crisis are coming over the next few decades. Join us now in preparing for their arrival. Thank you for joining “Joy For All Kids”!

if you can help us purchase two vans to provide safe and reliable transportation to meet our residents on-going needs.
From doctor and dentist appointments, to soccer and track practice, to music lessons and grocery shopping, life is full, and so are our vans! Sometimes it’s a trip to Copper Crest Farm for horse riding lessons. Sometimes it’s a jaunt to the grocery store, and several times a week it’s loading up to go to church and youth meeting. Like any family, especially a large one, we have to take to the road for good and necessary reasons and need reliable, safe transportation.
