What do you want to be when you grow up? It starts in your chest with childish apparitions until tendrils of tomorrow transform to yesterdays, so when the tooth fairy doesn’t come, and the little boy cries, and the balloon floats away through the clouds across the skies, we’ll say goodbye to the promise of fairy tales that were never meant to come true. I once considered dreams harbingers, future happenings, silvery lavender creatures that could be followed carefully over everlasting sunset crests blinking just in the corners of the eye. I thought of them as gossamer winged sprites, Godlike things who never lie or steer unwary travelers
