The sale of houses is recovered over a 20-30 year term and recycled back into construction and program costs, allowing mortgage payments by current Habitat homeowners to provide a sustainable foundation for future Habitat homebuyers. Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley does not make a profit on the sale of houses.
