Definitions: Schema and Facilities

• Schema • Collection of all entity classes, attribute types, and relationships that are available to the system designer; i.e. the embodiment of the system definition language excluding the structural aspects • Facility • Collection of related entity classes grouped together for visibility • Subset of the total schema • All Classes – all entity classes • Essentials – entity classes used for basic systems design management •

Program Management Facility – entity classes used for program management • Systems Engineering Facility – entity classes used for systems engineering • Verification Facility - entity classes used for verification definition and tracking
