To test a function of the system, two kinds of tools are necessary: ➢ Tools to simulate the environment (if applicable) ➢ Tools to capture the outputs (and perhaps inputs)

To test a system component’s interfaces, define a test for the component root function which: ➢ Accepts inputs

➢ Generates outputs ➢ Checks performance requirements ➢ Exits by the correct completion criteria
