I wanted to be a part of EO’s mission after learning about the childcare and educational components. Access to affordable, quality childcare is lacking in rural SW Virginia; this becomes a real barrier to lower income single parents or families needing a second income. I grew up in just such a family, so I’m familiar with the strain it puts on everyone. As the oldest, I frequently had to stay home from school to watch my three younger sisters, and my grades suffered as a result. I want to be a part of the solution that eliminates this.
