Quintin Hunter Interim Head Football Coach Offensive Coordinator Wide Receivers James Madison, 2013 Eighth Year at E&H

Quintin Hunter is entering his first year as Interim Head Football Coach at Emory & Henry College. He is in his third year of his second stint and eighth year overall with the program. Hunter will also serve as offensive coordinator and coach the Wasps’ wide receivers. The past two years saw the Wasps average nearly 300 yards of total offense per game and 26 points per contest as they produced a pair of 5-6 records as a provisional member of NCAA Division II while growing into the nationally-contending South Atlantic Conference. E&H has seen a total of 18 All-South Atlantic Conference performers over the past two seasons, garnering a freshman of the year on both sides of the ball. Hunter rejoined the E&H staff in 2022 after spending three years as the offensive coordinator at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. During his first five years with the Wasps (2014-18), Hunter coached both the quarterbacks and the running backs. Hunter joined E&H from James Madison University where he was a three-year letterwinner on the football field for the Dukes after transferring from the University of Virginia following his freshman year. He was selected as one of 300 participants in the NCAA’s Career in Sports Forum where he attended personal development workshops in the forum’s “Coaching Track.” In addition to his work in college football, Hunter has been extensively involved in coaching, refereeing, volunteering and serving as a camp counselor with various organizations. Hunter completed his bachelor’s degree in sport management at James Madison in December of 2013. He and his wife Kalen reside in Bristol.
