a perfect evening . . . On December 28, Heather and Junior arrived to their favorite island with Junior’s children to celebrate his birthday, just as they do every year. As the carriage came to a stop. Junior took Heather by the hand and led her beneath a tree, where he dropped to one knee just as “I Want to Know What Love Is” (their song) began playing in the distance. Overcome with emotion, Heather listened to Junior’s heartfelt words. To this day, it’s debated whether she actually managed to say “yes” through the shock and tears—but that magical night marked the beginning of the rest of their lives together.
