Drawing Out The Word

2. Ornamental Words

Scripture:

Proverbs 25

Hymn:

"Brighten the Corner Where You Are"

Meditation: "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver" (Prov. 25:11). Imagine King Solomon gazing out from the white, marble portico of his palace. As a horticulture lover, Solomon may have been appreciating the beauty of an orange tree in full fruit. Ah, the beauty of God's creation framed by the sparkling r ichness of man's wealth…and all of this elegance to describe the splendor of a single word spoken in the right manor, to the right person, at the right time. Proverbs 25 describes the beauty of a "word fitly spoken…"

 Spoken to the Right Person (Prov. 25:8-10)

 Spoken at the Right Time (Prov. 25:12-13)

 Spoken with the Right Attitude (Prov. 25:14-15)

 Spoken in a Humble Spirit (Prov. 25:16-17)

 Spoken in Sincerity and Truth (Prov. 25:18)

O be careful little tongue what you say; O be careful little tongue what you say; For the Father up above, Is looking down in love. O be careful little tongue what you say.
