18. God's Seasons

Meditation: The seasons of Earth are here to stay until the end of this world as we know it. The Bible tells us in Genesis 8:22, "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." So, what can we expect on God's timeline of events?  Any-Moment Return of Christ (I Thess.4:14ff.) Have you trusted Christ as your personal Savior? Only those who are saved in Christ will be taken out of this world when Christ comes in the air.  Seven-Year Tribulation Period on Earth (Rev. 4-19) God will deal with the Jews as a nation during this time. The whole earth will suffer from God's judgements, and all those who had opportunity to believe before the rapture of the Saints will be deceived to trust the anti-christ during this time.  1000 Years of Peace on Earth (Rev. 20:1-3) Christ will return, in person, to the earth to rule from Jerusalem. There will be one thousand years of peace and perfect rule on earth. Then, Satan will be loosed for a season prior to God's final judgement on the earth.  Great White Throne Judgement (Rev. 20:11-15) Only the LOST will be judged by their works, which cannot save their souls. Then, all who are judged here are condemned to an everlasting punishment in the "Lake of Fire."  New Heaven & New Earth (Rev. 21:1-2) Seasons may very well cease, as God will create a new heaven and a new earth--the old earth being consumed by fire.
