Meditation: Have you ever asked yourself, "Why is my soul so troubled?" Make-up and firm faces cannot restore a troubled soul. Yet, our Lord provides the prescription for continual vibrancy in our facial

expression. You must HOPE in the LORD…  By Faithfully Seeking Him. (Psalm 42:1-5)

Animals seek what they need to survive physically. So, we should constantly seek food and water for our souls in prayer and Bible study. Notice that we may "praise Him for the help of His countenance [face]." Happy faces are contagious. Look unto the Lord.  By Remembering God's Past Faithfulness. (Psalm 42:6-11) "Count Your Many Blessings," as the hymn reads. Keeping Him in mind keeps the heart in shape. And, no we may praise the Lord as He "is the health of my countenance." This describes a physical health for those who trust in God.  By Trusting God's Present Faithfulness. (Psalm 43:1-5) God is actively working in this world today. We may fail, forget and falter, but He is always on time, always right and truly the faithful One. Again, our Lord is a source for a healthy looking face. Those who fully trust him will have few wrinkles from worry and distress. When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed; When you are discouraged thinking all is lost; Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly, And you will be singing as the days go by.
