Virginia BCIA would like to thank Mike Jones for his countless contributions and support to the beef industry in Virginia! This year, Mike celebrates his 47 th year as auctioneer for the BCIA Bull Sales in Culpeper and Wytheville! Mike has spent his entire career in livestock marketing. After graduating from Virginia Tech in 1973, Mike worked for Angus Topics, Drovers Journal, and Farm Credit before starting his own auction business in early 1980. His first BCIA sale was at the Southwest Bull Test Sale in spring 1980, and Mike has been a fixture as our auctioneer ever since! Mike has announced his retirement following our March 2026 Southwest sale. Virginia BCIA would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Mike for all he has done to help promote and advance the principles of Virginia BCIA and being a great partner in the success of the program! Enjoy retirement Mike!!
