Cinderella 2023

-Senior Bios Amanda Sobrado has been involved in BHS Theatre since her freshman year and has taken part in over a dozen productions, making this her second time being in Cinderella ! "I feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of this department these past four years, and I can never thank these people or this stage enough. Getting to play Charlotte has been a dream and a delight." Amanda will further her theatre education at the College of William & Mary in the fall! Sam Woolsey is known for his love of Cheez-Its and for turning every table, chair, and water bottle he sees into a drum. He enjoys dressing for Homecoming spirit days, especially Pink Wednesday, where he gets to wear his beautiful pink overalls. When he's not playing drums, Sam is likely biking, snacking, or studying for physics class. He also uses his physics knowledge to dance at Rising Silo Brewery every Wednesday. Sam plans to earn a degree in engineering at Georgia Tech. Erik Midkiff has studied violin for nearly 13 years. During that time, he received several honors from the Virginia Music Teachers Association, Music Teachers National Association, and American Protégé Competition. Erik serves as concertmaster for Roanoke's Youth Symphony Orchestra, played with Virginia's South-Central Regional Orchestra, and was invited to the upcoming 2023 All-Virginia Orchestra. Additionally, Erik plays Trombone with BHS band programs and the Blacksburg Community Band. Laura Prince has played trumpet for the Blacksburg Symphonic and Marching Bands for four years. This is her first time performing for a BHS Theatre production and is grateful for the opportunity to play in the pit orchestra her Senior year. Laura is also a member of the BHS Swim team and has played piano for 11 years. Next year, she plans to attend Virginia Tech to study chemistry and keep making music! Reese Kunkel has been a proud member of the BHS Theatre department since freshman year. While Cinderella is her first musical, she has been in fall productions ( Miracle on 34th Street , A Midsummer Night’s Dream , and The Phantom Tollbooth ), Senior Directed One Acts ( TakeFive , In the Forests of the Night ), Competition One Acts ( Kaleidoscope ), and has enjoyed directing a SDOA( Every Novel You Read in High School (in 25 Minutes or Less) ). She is so thankful to have been a part of this theatre family! Keiyth Oleksuk started working lights during Senior Directed One Acts last Winter and continued throughout the semester. Starting this Fall, he became the head of booth and oversaw the inclusion and education of four new freshmen. He’s organized and managed lights and sound for the past three productions and is looking forward to handing the mantle down.
