MERIT BADGE PROGRAMS The following activities are available for boys and girls ages 10-17 interested in improving their health, learning new skills and expanding their work. Also, this is an introduction to Boy Scouting and starting a journey of earning badge requirements while having fun! Once a Boy Scout submits a “blue card” (provided in each class) to his troop leader, his troop will purchase and award the badge. **Non-Boy Scouts (boys and girls) are also welcome to sign up and learn new skills and topics through these programs as well as experience a part of the Boy Scouting program.

 PERSONAL MANAGEMENT – Instructor: Lisa Bass Location: Recreation Center – Classroom 1 Minimum: 4 Maximum: 15

Additional Information: Time and money are important in the steps to becoming an adult. Learn ways of responsibly managing your finances in addition to your schedule. Participants will learn ways to save and invest money wisely as well as budgeting. Practical decision-making skills will be taught through games and projects within the class. This is an Eagle-required Merit Badge for Boy Scouts. Montgomery County Schools are closed on Oct. 24. Reg. Begins Reg.  ROBOTICS – Instructor: Lisa Bass Location: Recreation Center – Classroom 1 Minimum: 4 Maximum: 15

Additional Information: This program gives participants the chance to experience STEM as engineers of robots. Learn about types, locomotion and development of robotics. Explore robotics as both a hobby and a career. Learn to design, build and program a robot for a mini-competition in class. This is an Eagle-required merit badge for Boy Scouts.
