 RADFORD UNIVERSITY SOFTBALL CLINIC This camp is being instructed by the Radford University Softball Team, and their head coach from Christiansburg, Hope Creasy. They will be teaching you the fundamentals of softball. This should be quality instruction from a quality NCAA Division I pro- gram. Please bring any equipment that you may need. Registration Dates Eligibility Date Time Location FEE Dec. 3 – Jan. 25 Ages 5-13 January 27 1 p.m. Recreation Center Free  PITCH, HIT AND RUN COMPETITION This event is part of the 1st Annual Opening Day Festival. Event is sponsored by Major League Baseball and Scotts Turf. Boy/ girls ages 7-14 are eligible. Event consists of 6 attempts to pitch a ball at a target for points, 3 swings off of a tee for distance and accuracy, and a timed run from 2nd base to home plate. Winners advance to a sectional competition with the opportunity to move on to a major league game and possibly the all-star game. Exact schedule will be released as we get closer to the event. Age groups will have set times picked for their respective competitions. This event will have a small carnival feel. There will be activities, parade of teams, guest speaker, among other fun activities. Each Christiansburg team will also play its first regular season game on this date.
