2015 Scholarship Recipients

Larry Turman Memorial Scholarship Fund (Charles Turman and Thornton Turman)

Provides scholarships to graduating high school students from Floyd County High School to attend a 2 or 4 year college, university, trade, or technical school. Marcus Allen Ford Memorial Scholarship Fund (Waverly and Donna Ford) Provides scholarships to graduating high school students from Christiansburg High School to attend any 2 or 4 year college or university in Virginia. Students should exemplify the qualities of Marcus Allen Ford including love and family, a friend to all, exceptional academic abilities, outstanding leadership, and good sportsmanship in the home, at school, and on the playing field. Mary Ann King Peters Memorial Scholarship Fund (Karen Hale and Leesa Meador) Provides scholarships to graduating high school students on the Floyd County High School women’s basketball team demonstrating integrity of character, initiative, leadership, good sportsmanship, being a team player, and love of basketball.

Warren Lloyd Holtzman Freedom Scholarship Fund

I see this scholarship as an opportunity to better my future. This scholarship will help me pay for a higher education that will open up many doors for me in the future. Michael Jones New River Community College
