NEW RIVER DIVING New River Diving (NRD) is a year-round club that teaches the safety and fundamentals of diving while developing body awareness, coordination, and self-confidence. NRD offers both Recreational and Competitive paths for athletes dependent on their personal goals, level of commitment, and skill level. Recreational Diving The recreational side of NRD is focused on safety. Our goal is to progress athletes at their own speed in a safe and controlled environment so that they can explore their limits in the sport and gain the confidence to push outside their comfort zone, through the fear zone, and into the learning and growth zone. NRD offers three groups primarily based on grade - Beginner Lessons(1st-5th), Middle School Lessons(6th-8th), and High School Lessons (9th-12th). Winter/Spring - Three 7-Week Sessions, concluding with an Inner-Squad Meet/Close Travel
Session #4 (January 2 - February 17th)
Beginner Lessons - 1-hour practices - 1-day/week @ $105; 2-days/week @ $195 Middle School Lessons - 1 hour 30-minute practices - 2-days/week @ $230 No High School Lessons (MCPS High School Diving Season)
Session #5 (February 20th - April 7th)

Session #6 (April 10th - May 26th)
Beginner Lessons - 1-hour practices - 1-day/week @ $105; 2-days/week @ $195 Middle School Lessons - 1 hour 30-minute practices - 2-days/week @ $230 High School Lessons - 1 hour 30-minute practices - 2-days/week @ $230
Competitive Diving The Competitive side of NRD has a heavier focus on the fundamentals, form, power, and speed of the sport that will prepare athletes to compete at the regional, and ultimately national level. Competitive is a year-round travel team with the goal of giving athletes the opportunity to dive at the collegiate level. Groups are by invite only and placement is based on experience/skill.

H2OKIE AQUATICS H20kie Aquatics is a 501c3 year-round Swim Team offering programs for all abilities, commitment levels, and desired levels of achievement. We have swimmers wishing to swim for fitness as well as those striving for the highest levels of competitions. Pre-Competitive Swim Team Levels: Stroke School is the entry level program of H2okie Aquatics and has several flexible options available from which swimmers and parents can choose. Most swimmers that participate in Stroke School are between the ages of 5 and 12 years old and have a little swimming experience, such as one or two years of participation with a summer league swim team or have taken swim lessons with a local swim lesson program. Stroke School 1 (SS1) SS1 is the beginning level of our team. Most swimmers in SS1 are between the ages of 5-8 and have minimal swimming/ lesson experience. Practice is offered 2 times per week for approximately 45 minutes, and it is recommended that swimmers try to attend 2 times per week to see steady improvement if they can do so. Practice days are on T/Th 5:45pm 6:15pm Stroke School 2 (SS2) Most swimmers in SS2 are between the ages of 6-10 and have a little swimming/lesson experience. Practice is offered 2 times per week for 1 hour, and it is recommended that swimmers try to attend both times each week to see steady improvement. Practice days are on T/H. 5:45pm-6:45pm Middle School Prep (MSP) Most swimmers in MSP are between the ages of 11-14 and have some or a small amount of swimming experience. Some have taken lessons or swam summer league or swam for the Middle School team but still may need some stroke development before becoming strong, fluid swimmers. Swimmers in this group can swim for short-medium distances but may not have the endurance or technique to swim for long distances without tiring. Practice is offered T/H 6:15-7:15pm
10 | H2OKIE AQUATICS
Competitive Swim Team Levels: Swimmers that participate in the Age Group Program are between the age of 7 and 13 years old and have swum competitively before, either with a summer league swim team, or with H2okie Aquatics or another competitive swim program. In addition, most swimmers in these groups compete in USA Swimming competitions on a regular basis, though this is not a requirement. Swimmers entering the Age Group program will continue to build on the fundamentals that they learned in Stroke School or through their previous swimming experience. In addition, swimmers begin to learn more about the world of competitive swimming and the things that they can do at practice and in races to become better swimmers. The goal of the Age Group Program is to teach swimmers about the world of competitive swimming and prepare them to be successful athletes in the future, while having a lot of fun! Age Group 1 (AG1) Swimmers in AG1 are between the ages of 7-10 and have developed a fluid freestyle and backstroke but may still struggle with either butterfly or breaststroke. Practice is offered between 3 times per week for approximately 1.25-1.5 Hours. It is recommended that swimmers try to attend 2-3 practice per week to see steady improvement. Swimmers must be legal in 3 of the 4 competitive strokes to be eligible for AG1. Practice is offered: M/W/F: 5:45pm-7:15pm Age Group 2 (AG2) Most swimmers in AG2 are between the ages of 9-12, are strong swimmers, but still need significant stroke development in certain strokes. AG2 swimmers will continue to develop their racing and training skills as they grow, mature, and have more ability to focus during practice. Practice is offered approximately 6 times per week for approximately 1.5 Hours. It is recommended that swimmers try to attend 3-4 practice per week to see steady improvement. M-F: 5:45pm-7:15pm; Sat 10-11:30am. Age Group 3 (AG3) Most swimmers in AG3 are between the ages of 11-13 and are strong swimmers in all 4 strokes. AG3 is the highest level of our Age Group program, and it is designed to prepare swimmers for the transition from Age Group swimming to Senior swimming. This means that swimmers begin learning more advanced racing strategies and more emphasis is placed on seasonal training. Swimmers will begin to take more personal responsibility for their own swimming and learn to analyze their stroke and apply lessons from their coaches to their swimming. Practice is offered 6 times per week for approximately 2 Hours, and it is recommended that swimmers try to attend 4-6 times per week to see consistent improvement if they are able to do so. Practice is offered M-Sat: Check website for exact times Senior 1 (SR1) SR1 is the bridge group from Age Group level into Senior level swimming and training. Swimmer ages in this group range from 13-15 years age and are mostly 8th graders with a desire to improve and develop into a strong SR level swimmer. Practice is offered 6 times per week and expectations are that swimmers will attend minimally 4 times per week and avg approximately 5 times per week. Emphasis will be on stroke technique, developing racing strategies and goal setting as they mature and understand the sport better. Practice is offered M-Sat: Check website for exact times Senior 2 (SR2) SR2 swimmers have a wide range of ability, and the focus of this group is on technique refinement with a strong emphasis on intense, seasonal training. Practice is offered 6 times per week for 2 hours on average. Though there is no requirement for this group, it is recommended that swimmers make every practice they are able to in order to maximize their performance during championship swim meets, many swimmers in this group are preparing for high level competition with goals of swimming at the collegiate level. Participation in regular USA Swimming competitions is expected at this level. Practice is offered M-Sat: Check website for exact times
