After graduating from Bluefield High School, I attended Marshall University to pursue a finance and business degree which I accomplished. While at Marshall University, I studied international financial management through the London ’ s Studies Program, which was associated with the London School of Economics. As a result, my education prepared me for a future in managerial and marketing pursuits. My first job out of college was with Merrill Lynch in Jacksonville, Florida, where I worked as a sales associate. After Merrill, I chose a different path and pursued sales in the technology industry, where I learned invaluable skills that led my largest client to hire me away to join their national corporation that specialized in various types of rehabilitation. In my role there, I ran various departments including marketing and community relations, intake director, and outpatient program director. Making a choice to pursue a different path allowed me to leave the corporate world to create my own business allowing the freedom to help others through Massage Therapy, which also provided the flexibility to live the life I wanted, which included a lot of snow skiing, hiking, white water rafting, world travel and of course shenanigans! Now after all these years I am happily semi - retired and enjoying life and still pursing my love of snow skiing, hiking, and travel from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Some of my life adventures for the past 50 years include: I have snow skied the Sierras, Cascades, the Rockies and the Alps Mountain ranges. Hiked National Parks throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe Traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe Rafted major whitewater rivers throughout the U.S. Not that I would recommend doing this, but I have jumped on the back of an alligator while living in Florida for reasons unclear! Wrestled a bear named “ Victor the Wrestling Bear ” in 1980, and lived to tell the story. As a Corvette enthusiast I ’ ve owned several Corvettes over the years and enjoyed the many adventures.
