50-Year-Reunion

After my high school graduation in 1975, I attended West Virginia State University, majoring in Business Administration Management with a minor in Commerce. I graduated from there in 1978. Right after, I moved to Columbus, Ohio to start working at The Ohio State University, College of Social Work, managing the secretarial staff. I started playing co - ed Softball in 1979, where I met the love of my life, Ron Mahone. We were on the same team. He had a quiet spirit which intrigued me. I wanted to get to know him. Long story short. We started dating and married in 1981 on July 4!! I began a new career working for E. I. DuPont in 1982, after the birth of our first daughter, Erika Genise. Erika, is now a Mental Health Therapist and owns her own counseling business. Our middle daughter, Ashley Ronelle, born in 1986, is a Nurse, and our youngest daughter, Taren Ronee ’, born in 1993 is a Corporate Business Analyst. My grandson, Jaylen Rondell, born in 2003 to our oldest daughter is a HVAC & Plumbing Apprentice. We ’ re so proud of all of them. I left DuPont in 2003 due to downsizing and obtained my Real Estate license. I also started working for the Department of Defense as a Contract Specialist and retired in 2020. I ’ m still working as a realtor. My Husband, Ron, of 44 years, is a Retired USPS Post Master. My Son - In Love , Maurice, is married to my youngest daughter and works for the City of Columbus. We are expecting our second grandchild (a granddaughter) this year in July. We have been truly blessed!!
