50-Year-Reunion

God truly blessed with an amazing family. My parents and brother have passed away, as well as my aunts and uncles, but I am not alone. My husband and I will celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary in August. He has been with me throughout this 50 - year journey. He has been my biggest cheerleader, always giving encouragement and support. Jayson is our only child, but Ray always says, “ It is the quality of the child, and not the quantity. ” I must say Jayson is not only a wonderful son but is also a great husband and the father of our only grandchild Caydence. We are so fortunate they also live in Florence so we can see them often. I continue to participate in the library book club, the one I used to coordinate. I also participate in a city - wide women ’ s Bible Study, and I play cards and games with three girlfriends weekly. Ray and I plan to go to Myrtle Beach this summer, a short hour drive from my house, as well as ride the train to Charleston, SC. In the fall, I plan to volunteer my services in a school library or as a reading tutor. I came across this quote, and I thought it is so appropriate: “ The moment in between what you once were, and who you are now becoming, is where the dance of life really takes place. ” — Barbara De Angelis
