No one gets through life without hurts, disappointments or loss, but I have been blessed over the last 50 years. I was married for 36 years, had two children and four grandchildren ages 19, 14, 12 and 7. They are a mix of fun, laughter, joy and amazement, each with their own unique personality and I enjoy spending time with them. I had no interest in attending college so I went straight to work first as a legal secretary for over 30 years then a bank teller for 14 years. By then I was ready to retire and am thankful I was able to do so on December 31, 2021. It has been wonderful being able to care for my grandchildren when needed and volunteering. The most rewarding opportunity I have had is being a leader in Celebrate Recovery at First Christian Church. This is a Christ - Based Recovery Ministry for anyone who has lost a loved one, been divorced or abused, has low self - esteem or insecurities and yes, struggles overcoming addictions or guilt from making bad choices in life. I haven't lived an especially exciting life or traveled abroad, but my life has been rewarding. We have enjoyed many great family vacations, went on a cruise for our 30th anniversary and made a lot of memories along the way. All the new people in my life; yeah, I've been blessed.
