Looking back over the last 50 years (surely it hasn ’ t really been that long), I am blessed by the way God has been guiding my path. Right out of High School, Larry and I married. We met when we were 12 and attending Fairview Jr. High. He went into the Air Force, and we were off on a grand adventure, headed for California, then North Florida.

You can see his bio for the rest of our story.

Larry and I have two grown kids, Jesse (CPA) and Amber (accountant), their spouses, Tammy and Matt, three grand daughters, Ellanna, Stefani, and Mattalyn, and two adorable great - granddaughters, Preslei and Nevaeh. My family is the most important part of my life, after my abiding relationship with Christ. I worked for many years in retail, then in the corporate world, followed by 20 years on a church staff. I spent eight years in Worship Arts, serving on the Worship and Production Teams, planning all - church events, and leading Children ’ s Choir, Drama Team, and Youth Dance Team, then moved into the role of Spiritual Journey Pastor, leading Women ’ s Ministry, Discipleship, Baptism, and Connections. For the last six years, I have worked at Trinity College of Florida as the Department Chair for Business Organizational Leadership (trinitycollege.edu), and have adjuncted for a Southeastern University extension site. In addition, I just finished a ten - year stint with The Bonhoeffer Project , an organization that trains leaders to be disciple makers (thebonhoefferproject.com). Two years ago, I launched my personal coaching and speaking business (sojourning - together.com). Most recently, a group of us have planted a disciple making house church, and I serve as the pastor of that church (devotedlife.church) . I might be wired a bit tight . People often ask me when I will retire, and I tell them not until God tells me to. Too many people still need to know Jesus and figure out how to follow Him well. In 2023, I was blessed to be a contributor and editor for my first publication, The Character of a Disciple . I love to read … most anything, really. I enjoy all kinds of art, including, but not limited to, sewing (I used to teach sewing classes at JoAnn Fabrics, and have taught sewing on mission trips in Rwanda, Uganda, and Honduras). I love making greeting cards, and as a Stampin ’ Up demonstrator. Most recently, I have developed a love for watercolor and acrylic painting, and Tangle Art with pen and pencil. While some of my art still looks like it was painted by a second grader, I will not be deterred!
