Dear Friends:
We invite you to join us on Saturday, March 23 at noon at the APEX Center in Wytheville as we host the 45th Annual South west Virginia BCIA Performance Tested Bull Sale. We would like to thank Brian and Kayla Umberger at Mountain Spring Farm for their excellent care and management of the bulls, and their investment and engagement with BCIA. Please join us at Mountain Spring Farms’ bull development facility outside Wytheville for the Open House which will be held on Sun day, March 17 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. This will be an excellent time to view the bulls and visit with the breeders and everyone involved. We hope you can join us! We have been enjoying great times in the beef business, with unprecedented market prices and continued strong demand for our product! Projections are for these trends to continue. Consequently, now is an opportune time to invest in quality genetics that will help move your herd forward and better position your operation for the future. The Southwest BCIA Bull Sale is steeped in history and tradition, and this year’s offering upholds that strong reputation. We encourage you to closely study the pedigrees, performance, and EPDs of this set of bulls, which our BCIA member breeders have assembled with your needs in mind. This year’s sale offering is one that is very deep in quality in all the breeds. Buy with confidence knowing that BCIA stands behind these bulls 100% and our guarantee provides assurance on their soundness and fertility. In addition to the bulls, we will offer a high quality set of females through the BCIA-Influenced Heifer Sale. All heifers are certified as Virginia Premium Assured Plus females, and each has met program standards for genetic merit, reproductive soundness, physical correctness, and health status. They sell guaranteed bred to calving ease bulls. The sale will be available online through LiveAuctions.tv. If you cannot join us in person, we hope this service provides you the convenience and ability to participate in the sale. See details contained in this catalog for more information. Compli menting this, video is available on all the bulls which can be accessed on the BCIA website. As always, we will have bidding available over the telo-auction or feel free to give one of us a call if you need assistance prior to or during the sale. We would be happy to assist you any way we can to purchase bulls that meet your needs. The bulls will be delivered to the APEX Center in Wytheville on Friday afternoon prior to the sale. Contact any of the consign ors, Brian Umberger at 276-620-1194, or myself at 540-231-9159 if we can be of assistance in any way. We hope to see you on Saturday, March 23!
Sincerely,
Scott P. Greiner BCIA Educational Advisor
