Dear Friends:

Please make plans to join us for our 42nd Annual Southwest Virginia BCIA Performance Tested Bull Sale to be held on Saturday, March 27 at 12:00 noon. Our annual Open House at the test facility outside Wytheville will be held on Sunday March 21, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. This will be an excellent time to view the bulls and visit with the breeders and everyone involved- we hope you can join us! We extend our appreciation to Brian and Kayla Umberger at Mountain Spring Farm for the excellent job they have done developing the bulls. The Southwest BCIA Bull Sale has earned a strong reputation as a premier source for multiple-breed, quality genetics in our region. This year’s group of bulls upholds this high standard. The consignors take very seriously their responsibil- ity to provide you with predictable, performance-based genetics that will help move your herd forward. We encourage you to study closely the pedigrees, performance data, EPDs, and other data assembled on this set of bulls. The bulls have met BCIA’s stringent requirements to make the sale, and BCIA stands behind these bulls 100% with our guaran- tee providing assurance on their soundness and fertility. Volume buyer discounts are available with the purchase of two or more bulls. As an additional value-added service, we will provide delivery of bulls following the sale (please see details contained here in catalog). Along with the bulls, we will offer a high quality set of females through the BCIA-Influenced Heifer Sale. Heifers are cer- tified as Virginia Premium Assured Plus females, and each has met program standards for genetic merit, reproductive soundness, physical correctness, and health status. Many of the heifers are multiple-generation AI, and sell guaran- teed bred to calving ease bulls. These females originate from excellent herds. The sale will be available online through CowBuyer.com. If you cannot join us in person, we hope this service provides you the convenience and ability to participate in the sale. See details contained in this catalog for more information. Complimenting this, video is available on all the bulls and heifers which can be accessed on the BCIA website. As always, we will have bidding available over the telo-auction or feel free to give one of us a call if you need assistance prior to or during the sale. We would be happy to assist you any way we can to secure bulls or females that meet your needs. The bulls will be delivered to the sale facility in Wytheville the day prior to the sale. Call any of the consignors, Brian Umberger, or myself if we can be of assistance in any way. We look forward to seeing you sale day!

Sincerely,

Scott P. Greiner BCIA Educational Advisor
