Packages & Facilities both assist in model management. Facilities group a set of classes  around a broad theme; i.e.,  Document Management, Systems  Engineering.  Packages are a user‐defined  collection of elements from multiple  classes. Packages are useful when  teams have responsibility for sub‐ portions of the model; i.e. a single  component.

Elements can be in multiple packages and folders

Facilities and Elements

Facilities contain sets of related classes.

Each class contains elements that represents a “thing” that can be uniquely identified.

New elements are  created by double‐ clicking on the Class  name.
